Why bookkeeping?
I’ve always loved numbers. I even thought about becoming an accountant. But what really drew me to bookkeeping is how much it can change someone’s life. A friend once told me that if he hadn’t hired a bookkeeper, his business would have failed.
I’ve learned that lesson firsthand. I once co-owned a mechanic shop. When I stepped away from the day-to-day books, I lost track of how we were really doing, and by the time the numbers got my attention, it was too late. The shop closed.
I’ve watched the dream of owning a business turn into a family’s nightmare when nobody was paying attention to the bottom line. I’ve also seen businesses thrive because their books were kept thoroughly and accurately. I want to help you build the second kind.
My husband runs his own small business, so I see the long days and the juggling up close. I know how much it means to hand the books to someone you can trust, and then stop worrying about them.
